Olmstead Music

Jon is a musician, composer, and producer originally from Norwich, Vermont. His work bridges cinematic composition and contemporary production. Over an 18-year career in the music industry, he has recorded in some of the nation’s most iconic studios, including The Record Plant, Sunset Sound, The Village, and Capitol Records.

Olmstead began his career in Los Angeles, working under composer Nate Barr on projects spanning film and television, including 30 Minutes or Less, The Last Exorcism, and HBO’s True Blood. He later expanded into commercial music and artist production, collaborating with talent from American Idol Season 10.

In recent years, his music has been featured in national campaigns for Fortune 500 brands such as Delta, Walmart, Comcast, Google, and Meta. Known for his versatility across genres and formats, Olmstead continues to produce for artists, compose original music for media, create sonic branding, and UI/UX sound design. He is currently based in Philadelphia.
